Some pretty pictures to ride you over until my computer is fixed and I get back to regular blogging capabilities.
The Flower Girl quit is DONE! Finally! I will post better pictures when I'm able.
My Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt is coming along, slowly but surely.
I also ordered some new fabric. Surprise!

Still No Computer
So just some iPhone photos.
1) I am seriously loving my Anna Maria Horner Starburst blocks. I laid them out together today. They are big! They will finish at 20".
2) We got up this morning at 3:30am to head to Morgantown for my boyfriend's sister's graduation. (She has TWO Master's Degrees, how great is that?) I got to see a beautiful sunrise.
3) We also visited a local quilt shop in Morgantown and picked up a few goodies for myself. I plan on making some pillows and maybe a table runner from the Avalon charm packs, the 30s prints will probably find themselves in my Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt and the patterns are sampler patterns that I plan on updating with scrappy modern fabrics (but not anytime soon seeing as how I have way too many ongoing projects as it is) What have YOU been working on?

Happy Mother's Day
My computer still isn't fixed. Hopefully this week it will be working again.
In the meantime I want to share a little about myself.
I know there are quilters today that don't have the luxury of owning heirloom quilts. Quilters who didn't have a long line of quilters in their family. I'm not one of them. My great grandmother made quilts, both my grandmothers. I'm lucky to have some of these quilts. And most importantly my mother made quilts.
Unfortunately I never shared this love with my mother when she was alive. I didn't learn to quilt until after she had passed away. While she was alive I couldn't sew anything besides a button, and I had no desire to learn. I wish I had. There are lots of things I wish for now that she isn't here. I hope she is proud of me, and this love of quilting I have found.
Happy Mother's Day to my mom in Heaven and to all of the wonderful mother's out there.

MORE Works In Progress
I added some more projects to my ever growing list of WIPs. Also my computer has crashed and won't boot. So I'm posting this from my iPhone. Hopefully I will be able to figure out the problem with my computer (or find someone who can).
I joined the bandwagon and started making a couple St Louis 16 Patch blocks. I made mine with 3.5" strips though, so each square finishes 3" and blocks are 12.5" unfinished. I've put those on hold for now to finish up a few other things, but they come together really quickly and I'm sure I can have the top done in a few hours once I sit down and devote the time to it.
I also started cutting into my AMH and Kaffe Fassett fabrics. I honestly can't remember where I saw those blocks or what they are called. I want to say Starburst but I've been searching and can't find it. I remember the sewing the quilt on someone's blog and then again on Pinterest and I sketched it out, making a mental note to find the pattern but to no avail. So I drew up my own pattern. I think my blocks may be larger than the original quilt I saw. They will finish at 20". I wanted big blocks to show off the fabrics.
I also spent some time adding to my Scrappy Trip Along quilt. I need several more blocks to make it big enough but I am loving how it has turned out so far.
And of course my Grandmother's Flower Garden. I am starting to think it will always be considered a WIP. I decided this week that it isn't going to be big enough the way I had originally planned it, and I've decided to add 2 more rows and add one flower to each row. So now I'm back to making flowers. I ordered some new fabric this week just for the extra flowers to make it even scrappier. I will have 94 flowers, that is 658 hexagons for the flowers alone. This quilt is going to end up with around 1000 pieces!!!!! Whew. I'm insane.

MIA
Sorry I've been MIA lately. I've been extremely busy (but that isn't new, is it?) I of course have a dozen projects going on, work and the hustle and bustle of every day life.
This is where I spent this past weekend. (I promise to be back with quilty pics later this week)
